The Sri Lankan Tea Day Memorialization 2017 October

The Sri Lankan Tea Produces bias exporters ministry of plantation industriesThe Sri Lankan Tea Produces bias exporters ministry of plantation industries and all other stake holders of the industry hold as an event to remember the 150 years Tea History which falls in the year 2017. All the events conducted by the stake holders of the industry not given prominent place for the contribution of the marginalized tea workers who employ directly and indirectly over one milllion people since established.  In this context the ISD has organized a two days event highliting the contribution made by the working class of Tea industry and memorializing living patterns. Further, ISD had organized an exhibition outreaching the tea plantation worker's history , Literatre,  political struggles and trade union movements,  in archive. And the second day follows with the paper presentation covering socio, political, economical transformation. The Two Days exhibition was viewed by over 2000 spectators and students were also participated in the program.
